(Read new operation policy on home page) Westwind Music is a "Play-Condition" service shop offering fast, cost-effective repair service for wind instrument players in the Central Vancouver Island area. - Instrument repairs are usually completed within two or three days. - Taxes and shipping (if applicable) not included in prices listed here. - Minimum charges for any service is $25. plus taxes, shipping etc. - Estimates & informal appraisals are no charge (upon request). - Printed appraisals/estimates (i.e. for insurance) is $25. Shop rates are based on $60. per hour. REGARDING STORAGE: STORAGE CHARGES APPLY AT 50¢ PER DAY BEGINNING 30 DAYS AFTER COMPLETION OF REPAIRS ... AFTER 90 DAYS, IF NO ARRANGEMENTS ARE MADE, INSTRUMENTS LEFT IN SHOP WILL BE CONSIDERED ABANDONED AND MAY BE SOLD TO RECOUP COSTS & STORAGE FEES. REGARDING PAYMENT: VISA, CASH OR CHEQUES* ARE ACCEPTED. CHEQUES* (which are in effect promisary notes) ARE ACCEPTED ONLY FROM INSTITUTIONS, OR CLENTS WHO ARE KNOWN TO ME AND WHO ARE PERMANENT RESIDENTS OF THIS AREA. Service limitations ... - cosmetic work - no lacquer or plating offered - only minor tuba & double-reed work - restoration & major dent work not offered - larger full service shops that offer these services can be found listed on the Internet.    payments add a 3% charge to all billings.

Average service/repair costs are between $50. - $100. plus tax etc. Shop & shipping supplies, materials & office costs add $3. - $5. to each bill. Shipping & handling is estimated ($12. Minimum) includes shipping materials.
